Tottenham's disastrous season claimed plenty of victims along the way, but some are fortunate to be able to escape the situation, and Randal Kolo Muani is one of them.

Spurs did eventually manage to stay up, narrowly dodging the drop on the final day, but the final day achievement - if you can call it that - will not paper over the cracks.

It remains a dire situation at Tottenham. Major changes are needed, and few believe they will be made, or at least not sufficiently.

Muani gets his escape route

Striker Muani joined Spurs on a season-long loan from PSG and struggled to make an impact, scoring five and assisting four, but almost every player in this Tottenham side struggled for form this season.

Muani impressed at Juventus last season and has also impressed for France in the past. The 27-year-old is still a quality player who can likely make a big impact in the right setting.

Perhaps fortunately for him, Spurs had no option to buy in the loan deal, so whether the changes are made at Tottenham or not, he will not be around to find out.

For now, it's back to PSG for the forward, who will know this season cost him a chance to represent France at the World Cup. From there, he will likely find a new club, and there is already talk of interest from Italy.

According to TRT Sport via Calciomercato.it, both AS Roma and Como are showing interest in signing Muani this summer. Given his poor form for Spurs, this might be a good time to strike for Muani in terms of a transfer fee, and Italian clubs appear to be considering a move.

Muani scored eight goals in 16 league appearances during a loan spell for Juventus, so Italian clubs know he can find the net in Serie A, which will certainly help his cause this summer.

There is also said to be interest from Turkiye, but it would be a surprise if the 27-year-old decided to go there over a return to Italy, where he has good memories and the opportunity to play in one of Europe's top leagues.

It's unclear how much PSG will ask for this summer, but they spent 90 million euros to sign him back in 2023, so they may be hit with the reality of taking a big loss if they want to sell this summer.
