Palmeiras are hoping to bring Tottenham forward Richarlison home this summer, although the Club World Cup semifinalists are aware that Spurs want £55m.
We signed Richarlison from Everton for £65m during the Antonio Conte summer of 2022. The instinctive forward was regarded as the final piece to the puzzle, and the ideal third party in a frontline boasting Son Heung-min and Harry Kane.
Richy has had his moments in Lilywhite, no doubt, but his three years at the club have been tainted by absences. Transfermarkt lists ten occasions when the 28-year-old missed a game through injury, and he missed much of last season due to a hamstring issue.
While a great dressing room character and a handy asset when fit, availability has been far too big of an issue for Richarlison. The Brazilian international has played no more than 28 Premier League games and recorded no more than 18 league starts in a single season since joining the club.
Tottenham should consider Palmeiras midfielder in deal for Richarlison
🚨Palmeiras have opened direct talks with Richarlison over a deal to sign him this summer.

🇧🇷The pursuit is being spearheaded by club president Leila Pereira, who is personally leading negotiations. The Brazilian club are aware that Spurs want £55M.

Richarlison has been linked with an Everton reunion this summer, while Saudi Pro League clubs have also flirted with the idea. However, recent reports suggest that Palmeiras are plotting a summer move for Richarlison off the back of their successful Club World Cup campaign.
The Sao Paulo-based club reportedly made just shy of £30m for reaching the semi-finals of the tournament, and are now willing to spend much of their boosted budget on the Spurs forward.
President Leila Pereira is said to be taking the lead in negotiations and has been discussing a return home with Richarlison for the past two weeks. While Palmeiras may not be able to reach our £55m asking price, they could get close. An alternative option for the Brazilian club is to use one of their players as a makeweight to ensure the deal goes through.
🇨🇴🍕 Richard Ríos (Palmeiras, 25)

Richard Rios has been linked with a move to Europe off the back of an excellent Club World Cup, with Roma the current frontrunners for his signature. A deal with the Italian club hasn't been agreed yet, however, with Palmeiras reportedly holding out for a fee in the region of £25m. Why don't we negotiate a £20m deal for Richarlison plus Rios? Everyone's a winner, eh?
I'm a huge fan of Rios. Admittedly, this summer's tournament in the States was the first time I'd enjoyed him over a 90-minute period, with my previous exposure limited to highlight reels.
The Colombian is an imposing figure, and while he has too much to offer going forward to perform a holding midfield role, Rios combines the attributes of a passer and destroyer. He's a do-it-all kinda guy in your engine room, and a unique profile Spurs are currently without.
