Tottenham's injury list has gradually shrunk in time for Sunday's important Premier League trip to Fulham, with the club confirming that Pedro Porro and Kevin Danso are back in training.

Spurs' availability woes has undoubtedly contributed to yet another wretched domestic campaign, with the Lilywhites out of both cups and just four points above the relegation zone with 11 games to go.

Thomas Frank was, of course, an issue, but all of Tottenham's problems won't cease now the Dane has gone. This club is rotten at the top, and perhaps this group of players isn't quite as talented as some suspected them to be.

But hey, that doesn't mean we won't improve when those struck down by injury return to the fold. Igor Tudor needs all the help he can get in his bid to keep the club up, and his backline is set to be bolstered this weekend.

There had been rumours at the start of the week, in the aftermath of a North London Derby that started brightly enough but eventually followed a familiar pattern, that the aforementioned pair were in contention for Sunday's game.

Those reports were confirmed on Wednesday, when Tottenham posted pictures of Danso and Porro on their official Instagram. Finally, a bit of good news.

Neither, on the surface, appear like game-changing comebacks, with supporters longing for the returns of James Maddison and company, but both will be more than useful for the new manager, who wheeled out a makeshift back three on his managerial bow.

Danso's inclusion will likely free up João Palhinha to play in midfield, with the experienced Portuguese international among the very few leaders Tudor can currently count upon. His mobility isn't what it once was, but you'd like to think he'd be a handy contributor to the Croatian's man-oriented approach out of possession.

Porro struggled under Frank, with the Spaniard's work in advanced areas with the ball at his feet letting him down. This is a squad boasting few masterful technicians, so Tudro desperately needs Porro to discover his cleanest form. Perhaps the month off would've done him good, given that he's played far too much football since the start of last season.

Trips to Craven Cottage haven't been particularly enjoyable as of late, with Ange Postecoglou losing all three visits as manager. Fulham can blow hot and cold under Marco Silva, but they returned to winning ways in the Premier League last week after losing three on the bounce. Crazy to say I know, and it's indicative of how far we've fallen, but securing a draw wouldn't be the worst result in the world ahead of an even more significant clash at home to Crystal Palace.
