A return to winning ways is on the agenda for Thomas Frank's Tottenham on Saturday, but they'll have to overcome a suddenly emboldened West Ham side in east London.

Graham Potter's Hammers were a car-crash before they rocked up at the City Ground two weeks ago and picked up a 3-0 victory against the odds.

That triumph, combined with the signings they made at the end of the summer window, has lifted spirits considerably in their camp, and now they'll be out to prove that their recent victory was no flash in the plan. Spurs, meanwhile, will take great encouragement from the flaws they manifested during the first two weeks of the season.

Mohammed Kudus' presence will render Saturday's duel particularly spicy, with the home fans desperate to make life as miserable as they can for their former star. The Ghanaian will be out to silence the slanderers.

Here's how Tottenham could line up for the bitty London derby this weekend.

Goalkeeper & Defenders

Guglielmo Vicario (GK) – The Italian ensured Bournemouth didn't run up the score two weeks ago, and he'll want a much quieter outing on Saturday.

Pedro Porro (RB) – Porro was poor last time out, and Frank could utilise England international Djed Spence to combat West Ham's one-on-one threat out wide. However, I think the Dane values Porro's work in possession too much to drop him.

Cristian Romero (CB) – After returning from Argentina without an injury, the captain is a shoo-in to start at the heart of Frank's defence.

Micky van de Ven (CB) – The Dutchman has been joined by an exciting compatriot in N17, and there's no doubting Van de Ven's status alongside Romero.

Destiny Udogie (LB) – Udogie returned from his knee injury before the break and offered us something different late on against Bournemouth. I think his left-footedness is necessary to ensuring Frank's side are balanced in possession.

Midfielders

João Palhinha (CM) – The Portuguese was the Premier League's standout performer of Gameweek Two, and although his limitations came to the fore against Bournemouth, Frank will likely retain him in the starting XI on Saturday. He'll function better in these sorts of fixtures without Rodrigo Bentancura alongside him.

Pape Matar Sarr (CM) – Sarr has been superb under Frank, and we could see him drop into a deeper midfield position to aid Spurs' build-up. He's not yet a controller, nor the ideal passer profile we require, but he has so much to offer without the ball.

Xavi Simons (AM) – The statement new addition is match fit and ready to get to work. How many times have you watched the first training video? Smooth as silk.

Forwards

Mohammed Kudus (RW) – Kudus was eventually crowded out by Bournemouth two weeks ago, but Simons' arrival and a change down the left will help diversify Spurs' attack and present the Ghanaian with more favourable attacking situations down his flank. He'll be desperate to standout here.

Richarlison (ST) – Randal Kolo Muani will make his debut, but I think the Frenchman will get his short off the bench. With Dominic Solanke likely to miss out again, Frank will probably roll with Richarlison for the fourth consecutive league outing.

Wilson Odobert (LW) – Mathys Tel was our French star of the international break, but the jinky Odobert is currently ahead of him in the pecking order. His ability to retain possession and create a yard of separation renders him a superior option to Brennan Johnson.
