Tottenham are heading to Munich for their final pre-season friendly of the summer, as we prepare to take on Harry Kane and company in Bavaria.
This is our third meeting with the Bundesliga champions since we negotiated Kane's sale, with Bayern edging both friendlies last summer.
The great German club have had their way with us historically, with our last head-to-head triumph arriving over 40 years ago in 1983.
With the UEFA Super Cup less than a week away and the start of the 2025/26 Premier League season also closing in, things are starting to get serious, and we're bound to see Thomas Frank, off the back of a successful summer tour, opt for a starting XI that may resembe the team he puts out in Udine next week and against Burnley three days after.
Frank surely has a clearer idea of what he's working with now, and here's how we could line up in Munich on Thursday.
Tottenham predicted lineup vs Bayern Munich (4-2-3-1)

Goalkeeper & Defenders
Guglielmo Vicario (GK) – Rumours of an Antonin Kinsky loan may be wide of the mark, but it looks like Vicario will be heading into the season as Frank's first-choice goalkeeper.
Pedro Porro (RB) – The Spaniard has impressed this summer, and it looks like he has a big role to play as a creator from deep under the new manager. He'll be tested by Bayern's new signing, Luis Diaz, on Thursday.
Cristian Romero (CB) – Romero has committed to the Frank project, with the Argentine poised to see plenty of a familiar face leading Bayern's line in Munich.
Micky van de Ven (CB) – We haven't seen the Romero x Van de Ven axis too much in pre-season, with Frank testing out various combinations. However, I expect to see the two starters play together here.
Djed Spence (LB) – With Destiny Udogie likely to miss out, Spence, who performed well at left-back in the 1-0 win over Arsenal, will assume the role again in Munich. Michael Olise may well be his toughest assignment yet.
Midfielders
Rodrigo Bentancur (CM) – The new manager is said to be a fan of the Uruguayan, who is not a holding midfielder and an excellent box-to-boxer. I expect Bentancur to be a day one starter for Frank despite Joao Palhinha's arrival.
Lucas Bergvall (CM) – Palhinha is set to make his Spurs debut against his parent club, but the midfielder's first minutes are likely to arrive off the bench. Bergvall will have the chance to showcase his talents against
Pape Matar Sarr (AM) – The standout performer of pre-season so far may not be a refined playmaker with the ball at his feet, but Sarr's capacity to regain possession high up the pitch has been a useful weapon for the Lilywhites this summer.
Forwards
Mohammed Kudus (RW) – Kudus should be joined by another new face in Palhinha on Thursday, but he was the only newbie on tour. Maddison's injury places even greater onus on the Ghanaian to shine.
Richarlison (ST) – Dominic Solanke didn't feature on tour due to a nagging ankle injury, and there's not yet been any news on whether he'll be ready to feature here. Frank will thus decide between Richy and Mathys Tel for the starting role up top.
Wilson Odobert (LW) – Tottenham will surely be in the market for a Son Heung-min replacement, but Odobert could help provide at least temporary mitigation. He was particularly bright in the win over Arsenal.
