Tottenham are hoping to sign Bournemouth's out-of-contract defender Marcos Senesi this summer, with reports even suggesting that the Argentine has agreed to join the club.
It's hard to give the summer transfer window all that much consideration at this point in time. Ultimately, what Spurs can achieve we'll be determined by whether we remain in the Premier League. As it stands, we're currently the favourites to succumb to the drop, having slipped into the bottom three for the first time in a decade last weekend.
In the event of a stunning relegation, a mass exodus will doubtless be endured. Few know what our team could look like in the second tier, although some suggest that high-profile stars like Dejan Kulusevski will stick around.
If we're able to stay up, which more and more are starting to deem unlikely, then we can breathe a huge sigh of relief and aim to build with Roberto De Zerbi at the helm. It'd probably be quite an exciting summer, and I'm a huge fan of what the club are supposedly plotting at centre-back.
Insider source believes Senesi has agreed to join Tottenham

Cristian Romero is expected to have played his last game for the club at the Stadium of Light, with an MCL injury ruling him out for the remainder of the season.
Spurs will have to fill his void no matter what this summer, but Micky van de Ven may also garner interest despite his woeful 2026. Back in the autumn, we were talking about the Dutchman as one of the world's best centre-backs. Now, there are factions of supporters hoping we get rid.
The club's reported move for Senesi suggests Van de Ven could be on his way out, as the Argentine would not be willing to join Spurs unless he was guaranteed first-choice status. According to insider Poseidon, Senesi has agreed to sign for the Lilywhites if we avoid relegation.
Chelsea and Manchester United are also chasing the soon-to-be free agent, so the situation is likely to evolve quickly, but the signs are promising if we preserve our Premier League status.
The left-footed Senesi is a great building block for restorting sturdier foundations at the heart of our defence. After his thunder was stolen by Dean Huijsen and Illia Zabarnyi last season, Senesi has bounced back in 2025/26 and produced an excellent campaign for Andoni Iraola's side.
He's one of the Premier League's best defenders in possession, shining as a passer, and would certainly mitigate Romero's departure, albeit on the opposite side. Spurs would also need to add a right-footed centre-back to adequately replace the captain.
But yeah, it's a shame it all hinges on whether we can avoid our first relegation in almost 50 years.
