There could yet be a reunion for Thomas Frank in north London this summer, with Tottenham reportedly 'moving' for Brentford striker Yoane Wissa.

Frank's arrival sparked rumours of Bees exodus to N17, but Spurs have so far missed out on Christian Norgaard to Arsenal, while Bryan Mbuemo prefers a move to Manchester United.

However, our interest in Wissa seemingly hasn't dissipated since the winter, and the Dane's arrival will only have emboldened our intrigue given how well he performed under the new manager last season.

The 28-year-old forward has scored 31 Premier League goals over the previous two campaigns, including 19 last term.

Tottenham pursuing Yoana Wissa after excellent season under Thomas Frank

The BBC's Sami Mokbel reported on Wednesday afternoon that Tottenham are now targeting Brentford's Wissa, who is keen on reuniting with Frank in N17. As expected, though, Spurs are haggling over the finances.

With Man Utd stalling in their pursuit of Mbeumo, Tottenham could move quickly for Wissa and potentially block the Cameroonian international from joining the Red Devils. It's understood that the Bees don't want to lose their two premier attackers this summer, with Mbuemo and Wissa combining to devastating effect last season following the departure of Ivan Toney.

Reliable insider Paul O'Keefe adds that an enquiry has been made, but noted that this may be a move on Spurs' behalf to potentially force West Ham's hand regarding Mohammed Kudus. While the Hammers are reluctant to sell the Ghanaian to us, they're happy to part ways to reinvest in Graham Potter's squad. Kudus has made it clear that he only wants to join Tottenham.

However, I don't think the Wissa and Kudus deals are linked. They're two different profiles who'll be solving alternate issues within Frank's squad.

Kudus is a right-sided attacking midfielder who's versatile enough to perform an array of roles, while Wissa would likely operate as Dominic Solanke's second in-command. The 28-year-old was utterly brilliant last term, proving himself to be a mightily efficient finisher who has a knack for being in the right place at the right time.

His arrival, were it to happen, would surely mean the end of the road for Richarlison in north London. The Brazilian has been dogged by injuries since joining the club, and many suspected he'd be on the chopping block entering the summer window. While it's believed that Richy wants to stay put, the decision may be out of his hands.
