There are about three players Tottenham Hotspur are actively trying to bring in as blockbuster signings and massive upgrades over the individuals they currently have in the squad. Despite a quieter period on his front, Savinho of Manchester City remains a prime target on the wings. The new obsessions of Tottenham and Roberto De Zerbi appear to be Premier League midfielders Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes, and these are two big deals that could be closed relatively soon.

Meanwhile, Tottenham do need to make sales in order to make signings. There will be exits of disappointing midfielders and forwards to make space for better players, but Spurs are also actively shopping Guglielmo Vicario in goal, and after Antonin Kinsky was the team's best player in the relegation fight, the Italian goalkeeper's exit has become that much more obvious.

Kinsky is set to be the No. 1 under De Zerbi as a reward for his insane performances in goal when it mattered most, but Spurs will likely sign a backup for him. That will necessitate selling Vicario, who has no future at the club and is unlikely to accept a backup role.

Tottenham could have a new Serie A bidding war on their hands

Inter Milan no longer appear interested in Vicario as a replacement for falling legend Yann Sommer, as they probably noticed how much worse he was than Kinsky. Meanwhile, other Italian clubs are still interested. Juventus may prefer Emiliano Martinez as the replacement for Michele Di Gregorio, but he is likely too expensive; Vicario would be an easier signing.

But Juve now have to worry about a different Serie A rival showing interest in Guglielmo Vicario, which would raise the price and the stakes around the transfer battle for the Italian international. According to a report from Sky Sport Italia, via Napoli Hub, Napoli continue to show interest in Vic as an upgrade on the mercurial Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, and they have made fresh new contacts with Tottenham Hotspur for their now No. 2 goalkeeper.

VIcario was an exceptional pure shot stopper in Serie A for Empoli, and there is hope that better health after the hernia surgery and a return to his home country will help the veteran goalkeeper bounce back. Napoli have been having trouble finding a stable goalkeeper recently, and their interest in Vicario means Tottenham could be the beneficaries of a bidding war between two Serie A rivals who dislike each other deeply at their core. And Spurs would love if Napoli feel a fire to compete financially with Juve and raise Vicario's price.
