Tottenham Hotspur have rebuilt their defense for Roberto De Zerbi and have totally transformed the midfield with two necessary big money upgrades in Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes, so now the full focus for the remainder of the summer transfer window has to be signing multiple forwards to add more star power and goals to the front line.

Spurs only had one player with double digit Premier League goals last season in Richarlison, and most people expect the former Brazilian international to be sold. So that leaves Spurs with not only a new striker the need but also a new left winger - and they may even need two players at each position. And that is not even mentioning possible right winger depth with Dejan Kulusevski's injury recovery still entirely up in the air.

The problem is that Spurs have been dragging their feet. They have yet to seal a deal for Savinho despite nearly a year of interest, and their other big target, Liverpool's Cody Gakpo, still has not been approached. And other potential winger options like Maghnes Akliouche, Rafael Leao, Jarrod Bowen, and Crysencio Summerville are either off the board or have not even been approached by Spurs either.

Tottenham are moving too slow

As Akliouche closes in on PSG, another big transfer target wanted by PSG and Manchester United may be turning to an entirely different destination. After signing Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United last summer and Mateus Fernandes this year, Spurs were linked again to Crysencio Summerville, who was one of Johan Lange's key targets at one point.

Premier League clubs are after Summerville following Tottenham Hotspur relegating West Ham to the EFL Championship, but now Serie A is becoming a distinct possibility for the Dutch international, who is comign off a fabulous World Cup campaign.

According to new information from top transfer insider Matteo Moretto, Crysencio Summerville has now opened up to joining forces with former Aston Villa star Donyell Malen at AS Roma. Summerville is intrigued by the proposal from Roma, which is close to what he is looking for financially. And all that is left is an agreement on the final price between West Ham and Roma, as well as a touch up in the personal details on his contract, for a move to take place.

So another young, talented left winger who can bring potential goals to the table is about to be off the board for Tottenham, as Summervile appears close to Roma. While Summerville is not one of Spurs ideal targets on the left wing, him signing with Roma will thin out the pool of options and emphasize to the Lilywhites that they really need to start making forward moves soon.
