There has not been good news emanating from the N17 in months, if that, and as Tottenham Hotspur become increasingly wary of the threat of relegation as the losses mount, the summer transfer window may bring about a far more negative sea of change than Spurs supporters could have ever anticipated when the news first struck in August of Daniel Levy's dismissal.

Currently, Spurs are just one point above the relegation zone, and the fans are worried about which promising young talents could leave the club in the summer, regardless of Spurs ultimate fate in the relegation fight.

According to the Daily Mail's Simon Jones, there are alarm bells around the three biggest transfer assets and the best young players at Tottenham Hotspur. Bayern Munich had already been linked heavily with center midfielder Archie Gray, and they are actually getting more and more interested in the former Leeds United man. Meanwhile, Chelsea and Aston Villa continue to be in play for his midfield partner Lucas Bergvall and are set to challenge just how badly Spurs want to keep him. Finally, Jones drops the hammer that the biggest gem of them all, center back Luka Vuskovic, is not currently favoring returning to Tottenham.

Tottenham are in grave danger

While Tottenham fans would like to think that it is more likely than not that all three young gems remain with Spurs, the landscape right now is vastly different than it was before the season started - or even three or four months ago.

Tottenham are becoming a bigger disaster zone with each passing week. Gray keeps fighting hard, but who would pick Spurs over Bayern Munich? Bergvall was wronged by Spurs throughout the season before his injury. And then Vuskovic is dominating outside of Hamburg and may feel that the elite clubs interested in him like Barcelona and Bayern are too good to pass up on, especially since Tottenham did not believe in him enough to keep him as a starter in their squad this season to begin with.

Spurs are melting down, and while these three guys are great characters who do not give up on Tottenham, this isn't a quesiton about giving up. Because if anyone gave up, then it was the Tottenham board and ownership a long, long time ago. These guys are too good to play for a team that is in shambles, and if they are relegated, all signs point to the cub's three most valuable gems exiting the door.
