Later on this afternoon, at 14:00 GMT, Spurs will take to the field for their final game before the November international break, as they host Ipswich Town - which will be the last break until the end of March 2025.

On Thursday evening in the defeat at Galatasaray, we saw Ange rotate quite a lot, with seven changes, likely with today’s game in mind.

For the game today, Ange has gone with the following XI; Vicario; Porro, Romero, Dragusin, Udogie; Kulusevski, Bentancur, Sarr; Johnson, Solanke, Son. A line up much closer to Spurs’ strongest XI – perhaps their outright strongest.

Plenty of people praised Bentancur for his performance off the bench in Istanbul, giving Spurs some ball retention that they had otherwise seriously lacked before his introduction, even after going down to ten men. This is the midfield that people were hoping to see start this game.

The skipper played 45 minutes in midweek, as Ange continues to manage his minutes since his second return from injury this season. Solanke continued his good form off the bench, and comes into this game completely full of confidence. Johnson also played 45 minutes on Thursday, and can come into this game fresher than he otherwise would have been.

In defence, Romero had been touch and go for this game, but Ange has gone with the Argentine defender, no doubt consciously considering just how poor the side were defensively in midweek. Some thought he might have even partnered Ben Davies, but Dragusin is given another chance in the team, despite a very poor performance against Galatasaray on Thursday evening.

After getting some much needed rest in midweek, Udogie is back in the side for this game, and owing to that fact, we should hopefully see the defender at his best for this game.

As for Ipswich, Kieran McKenna has gone for a line up of; Muric; Tuanzebe, O’Shea, Burgess, Davis; Morsy, Cajuste; Johnson, Hutchinson, Szmodics, Delap.  Former Spurs winger Jack Clarke is named amongst the substitutes. Kalvin Phillips is suspended after his red card against Leicester City last time out.

Remember, Ipswich are now the only team not to have won a Premier League game this season, so let’s try and beat the Spursy allegations. We all know what happened against Crystal Palace who hadn’t won a Premier League game. Oliver Glasner’s side have also picked up one point from two games against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Fulham since that game, too.
