Tottenham Hotspur have just brought in a big name forward to compete with Richarlison and, when he gets back from an injury, Dominic Solanke at the striker position. Thomas Frank was mum on the striker transfer rumors before, but he may as well have been bluffing the fans, with Spurs bringing in Randal Kolo Muani from PSG on a loan deal after talks between Paris and Serie A giants Juventus collapsed earlie this summer transfer window.
With Juve settling on Lois Openda as the new striker to join free agent signing Jonathan David and soon-to-be-out-of-contract No. 9 Dusan Vlahovic - a possible 2026 Tottenham transfer target for Fabio Paratici, by the way - that cleared the runway for Kolo Muani to move to North London.
Now, Tottenham want to wrap up their transfer deadline day business by making some key sales. One player they've had a difficult time finding a transfer suitor for is forward Manor Solomon, who slots in best as a left winger.
Solomon had a good season in the Championship with double-digit goals, and while a permanent move to Leeds seemed likely, the newly-promoted Premier League side haven't really been too keen on making a move for the Israeli international permanent as of late.
Tottenham have a local rival involved now
However, Gary Jacob of The Times is now reporting that local London rivals Crystal Palace are now interested in acquiring Manor Solomon, becoming a very surprising transfer suitor for the player, in the sense that they are easily the highest-profile team to show an interest in the 26-year-old goal-scoring winger.
But after losing Eberechi Eze to Arsenal this summer transfer window, the reigning FA Cup winners could use any kind of attacking boost for top manager Oliver Glasner. Solomon is a pretty borderline Premier League player and not someone Tottenham fans would be too keen to see starting in 2025/26, but he'd make more sense for a club fighting a few spots below the Champions League places like Palace.
Tottenham will want the extra cash boost of a permanent transfer, but Palace may only be interested in a loan deal or a loan with an option to buy, because that seems to be the theme with any of the few mentioned Solomon transfer suitors this summer window. But for Tottenham as far as sales go, any reasonable business is good business, seeing as how they have struggled mightily to offload unwanted players this year.
