Mauricio Pochettino is in for a busy summer. He is not only coaching the USMNT in the World Cup, but he's coaching the Stars and Stripes on home soil. It's quite literally the biggest moment in the USMNT's history, and Poch will be front and centre of it all. If Tottenham fans get their way, he'll return home after.

Igor Tudor might go down as the worst coach in Premier League history. It would take a lot to beat Ivan Juric to that crown, but it's almost like teams keep getting worse in their decision making.

Tudor, who surprised everyone by being worse than Thomas Frank, is already walking on a thin tightrope. First in line to replace him is a man every Tottenham fan knows and loves, Mauricio Pochettino.

Mauricio Pochettino recently boarded a plane and, to his surprise, he was met with a bunch of Tottenham fans. One of the most loved coaches in the team's history was never going to go unrecognised, and chants of "he's magic, you know, Mauricio Pochettino" broke out, and fans were vocal in letting Poch know they want him back at Hotspur Way.

Why was Mauricio Pochettino on a plane with Tottenham fans?

Because he is a Tottenham fan, obviously.

Not so obviously is the real answer... Poch is travelling to watch the match between Atletico Madrid and Tottenham, in which there is a high chance that Johnny Cardoso will be playing for the home team.

There are a few conspiracy theories at play here: Is Poch travelling to watch Cardoso, or is he travelling to watch Tottenham? Even more prominent are the obvious links to Real Madrid, who play in the same city as Madrid.

However, those are conspiracy theories for a reason. Johnny Cardoso is one of the main players for the USMNT, and Poch will want to see how he fares on the big occasion.

Could Tottenham legitimately hire Mauricio Pochettino?

Yes is the short answer.

There's no reason why Mauricio Pochettino wouldn't return to Tottenham. It's obviously a stressful job that no sane person would ever volunteer themself for, but Pochettino has something that no other candidate has: a love for Tottenham.

If the clip that circulated on Reddit is anything to go by, then Tottenham fans never lost their love for Mauricio Pochettino. They let him know that he's still adored by those travelling from North London, and he is welcome back at the club anytime.

It's a passion project, sure, but then again, so is managing the USMNT.
