Tottenham fans might not love where Ange Postecoglou could land next

Sigh. Here we go again.

Ange Postecoglou left Tottenham in the summer after lifting the Europa League with them. Now, the Aussie manager is still without a club.

Look, everybody knows Ange Postecoglou was unorthodox. He was as frustrating as they come, and he kept reiterating the same old story - "I always win in my second season."

In fairness, we have to tip our virtual hats to him here; he came through. He won the Europa League against all odds and got Spurs back in the Champions League. Now, Thomas Frank is building on the foundations he set at Hotspur Way.

Spurs fans might see Ange back on the Premier League touchline, underneath an Arsenal legend...

Former Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou linked to Nottingham Forest

According to The Telegraph, former Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou is one of the contenders to take the open Nottingham Forest vacancy, after Nuno Espirito Santo was sacked.

Nottingham Forest's global head of football, Edu Gaspar, who was an Arsenal Invincible and former director at Arsenal, was key to the falling out. Nuno and Edu's relationship broke down, hence why Nuno was sent packing.

Much to Tottenham fans' dismay, it could be Ange Postecoglou, who only managed Tottenham last season, who works closely with the Arsenal Invincible at Nottingham Forest.

But there's a silver lining in all of this.

Nottingham Forest's next game is against Arsenal at Emirates Stadium this weekend. So, wouldn't it be the most Ange Postecoglou thing in the world to go and beat Arsenal in his first game back in charge of the Premier League?

Of course, this depends on many factors. Nottingham Forest isn't just targeting Ange Postcoglou, but they're also targetting former Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho and current Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers.

It also depends on how quickly Nottingham Forest can get the job done. They sacked Nuno at a strange time, given their important match this weekend. As much as we hate to admit this, Marinakis and Edu are kinda the dream team when it comes to getting stuff done quickly.

We will see how this story develops. It'd certainly be interesting to see how Ange fares at another Premier League club but, from Tottenham's standpoint, anyone but Edu.

After what happened in the summer with Gibbs-White, any club but Forest, too.
