Well, that's it. Luka Vuskovic has gone. According to Fabrizio Romano, a deal has been agreed and Vuskovic is off to Brighton. Heck, it's even at the "Here We Go" stage.
In usual circumstances, this would be a real kick in the teeth for Tottenham. They just lost a young, promising centre-back with the entire world at his feet. However, the cracks have been impressively papered over, and Tottenham fans very strangely feel nothing about a departure.
That wasn't on anyone's 2026 bingo cards.

Tottenham fans don't really care about Luka Vuskovic leaving
Reacting to the news of Luka Vuskovic's departure on Reddit, Tottenham fans mostly feel the same way about it. The overarching theme is that it's not that big of a deal, really.
The most popular comment, with even more upvotes than the original thread itself, simply says "I'm alright with this after the signings we've made."
Tottenham can indeed alleviate the pressure of losing players by signing their own - Who would have thought?
Tottenham is executing business in the transfer window at a rate fans aren't used to, but they're certainly enjoying the added conviction Spurs are acting with.
Other supporters commented on the fact that Vuskovic plays in a position that Tottenham don't need to concern themselves with too much. "I have absolutely no issues with this," said another Tottenham fan. "We are flush with CB depth, and his agent was agitating for a move." Another then added: "Agreed. We are good at CB for the known future."
Luka Vuskovic essentially made his own mind up. He could have fought for a position in the Tottenham ranks, but he's not quite at the stage of consideration in the starting lineup just yet. If anything, he would have needed at least one more loan to develop into the player Tottenham needs.
He didn't want that. Which is fine. He is simply the right prospect at the wrong time, and sometimes, that is all football really comes down to.
If Tottenham use the profit generated by Luka Vuskovic to invest elsewhere in the squad, then all parties win.
"If this is to fund Tonali, I do this 10 times out of 10," said one Tottenham fan. "Bought him for £12mil and sold him for £46mil. That’s good business," said another.
And look, all of this profit was generated without him even playing for Tottenham. It's admittedly difficult to feel sentimental towards a player who never actually played for your club.
