Tottenham fans are begging for a move ENIC isn't going to make anytime soon

ENIC and the Lewis Family have driven Tottenham Hotspur supporters mad, and after axing Daniel Levy last year, Spurs supporters were given a lot of promises and lip service that have turned out to be just as empty as they initially expected. Since Levy's departure, Spurs biggest signing was Conor Gallagher in the winter, as the club passed up on major offensive upgrades.

This summer, Spurs are set to sign Andrew Robertson and Marcos Senesi, bu these free agent veteran Premier League defensive signings are still not going to move the meter. What Spurs supporter want is a new superstar to lead the attack, especially after Harry Kane and Son Heung-min left in the previous two transfer windows with nobody to replace their goals; the leading goal scorer now is Richarlison, who, in an ideal world, would be on his way out to Turkey or Saudi Arabia in 2026.

Tottenham fans are zeroing in on AC Milan star Rafael Leao after the former Serie A MVP and Scudetto winner announced his plans to finally leave the Rossoneri after they disrespected him - and the club itself - with a terrible 2025/26 season under Mad Max Allegri (now at Napoli).

Rafael Leao may be wistful thinking for Tottenham fans

It may not necessarily have to be Leao, but Tottenham Hotspur supporters want a player of his caliber to shake things up. After missing out on transfers the elite clubs went after like Antoine Semenyo, Desire Doue, and Rayan Cherki, Spurs supporters want a true star of their own and want to beat the biggest clubs in Europe for players who have that something special.

Now, Xavi Simons and Mohammed Kudus are definitely great young players who can be big stars in the Premier League, but they are not the kinds of players who are going to win Premier League Player of the Season trophies or score 20 goals in a season. As inconsistent as he seems, Rafael Leao can be that guy, and a lot of the narrative against him comes from a lazy Italian press who conveniently forgot how he carried Milan to the Serie A title in 2021/22 or the Champions League semifinals a year later.

The thing is, all of that discussion is a moot point for Tottenham, because ENIC is not going to shell out 80 million euros or more to sign an elite attacking player or throw their hat in the ring with clubs like Barcelona or Arsenal for a player like Leao when they could not even push Nottingham Forest to let Morgan Gibbs-White go when he had a release clause.
