Tottenham are undoubtedly gearing up to secure the best possible options in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Since the start of the month—if not earlier—there has been plenty of speculation about potential signings, so let’s take a look at some of the names linked with Tottenham.
Tottenham have been strongly associated with Sporting CP midfielder Morten Hjulmand, a player who is reportedly among their top targets for the summer window.
Another name making headlines is none other than former Spurs striker Harry Kane. Recent rumours suggest that Tottenham have not ruled out the possibility of making a move for the forward in this transfer market.
However, one of the most talked-about players in recent months has been Liam Delap, the Ipswich Town striker.
Tottenham linked with Ipswich striker Liam Delap

Former footballer Paul Robinson recently shared his thoughts on this potential move with Tottenham News:
"He never gives up a lost cause. Could he fit in that Tottenham side? Yeah, he could fit in that Tottenham side but we know the way that Tottenham’s run.
"You look at what they spent on Dominic Solanke. Unless he’s going to move on, there’s no way they’re going to go to the market and pay what it would take to get Liam Delap."
Robinson further reflected: "Would I have him? Yeah, absolutely. Will he end up a Premier League player for next season? Yeah, 100% definitely.”
For the 2024/25 season, Liam Delap has featured in 27 matches across all competitions, contributing 10 goals and 2 assists.
A signing that could impact Dominic Solanke
Now, Robinson makes a valid point—it wouldn’t make much sense for Delap to join Spurs only to be relegated to the bench.
This raises an important question—if Delap were to arrive, what would it mean for Solanke? The Tottenham striker would hardly be pleased to see his game time reduced in favour of a new signing.
Initially, when Dominic Solanke was sidelined with injury, a move for Delap seemed logical.
However, now that Solanke is on the verge of returning, doubts remain over whether the Delap transfer will materialise.
It will certainly be interesting to see how this situation unfolds and what decision the club ultimately makes.
