During this long wait that is the summer transfer window, Tottenham patiently sits and lists its potential new signings.
And while we all get excited about new arrivals, it could come at a cost, as one of our favourite players might be on his way out.
Among the names linked with Tottenham in recent weeks is Angel Gomes, the Lille OSC midfielder whom Spurs have previously shown interest in.
Another is defender Marc Guehi, a Crystal Palace player who has been on Tottenham’s radar for some time. The club has already made a bid for him. However, Spurs are not alone in their pursuit, as Chelsea and other Premier League clubs are also keen on signing him.
And one name that never seems to leave the radar is Matheus Cunha, the 25-year-old striker currently playing for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Spurs linked with Matheus Cunha move

While Spurs are interested in signing the Brazilian, the question arises: could he be the replacement for club captain Heung-Min Son?
According to Fichajes, Son’s departure could give Tottenham the upper hand in signing Cunha while also easing competition from Chelsea and Arsenal.
However, Cunha has a £62 million release clause, but that hasn’t deterred Tottenham, as reports suggest the club is seriously considering activating it.
Matheus Cunha has been in excellent form this season.
Despite Wolverhampton sitting 17th in the Premier League, the Brazilian has been a key figure in ensuring his team doesn’t completely sink in the table.
So far in the 2024/25 season, Cunha has played 27 matches across all competitions, scoring 13 goals and providing four assists.
Heung-Min Son could leave the club this summer
Heung-Min Son’s departure is something no Tottenham supporter wants to hear about.
But the reality is that it has been widely discussed in recent months, and it could soon become a possibility.
Now, with fresh reports linking Manchester United with a strong interest in signing Heung-Min Son, his future at the club is even more uncertain.
Although Son’s contract runs until June 2026, Manchester United’s boss is reportedly convinced they have a chance to sign the 32-year-old, potentially paving the way for Cunha to join Spurs.
