With Tottenham Hotspur close to Premier League relegation and under immense pressure to be as close to perfection as possible from here on out, Spurs supporters are actually more worried about the stars they will lose than the stars they could potentially gain in the summer 2026 transfer window. But after such an inactive winter transfer period in which the subpar Conor Gallagher was their only experienced signing, the team needs have piled up at the N17.

Tottenham are in need of a young striker who can be a top scorer in the future. Richarlison and Randal Kolo Muani do not have long term futures at the club, and whlie Dominic Solanke has been great at times, he has been bang average at others; the jury is still totally out on whether or not he is a viable starter for a Big Six club in the Premier League.

It will be tough for Tottenham to sell the world's best young players on joining them this summer, and that's even if they survive the Premier League relegation fight against the likes of West Ham United and Nottingham Forest in the first place.

Tottenham are linked to Fisnik Asllani

But according to a report from German outlet Sport Bild, Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs interested in signing Hoffenheim breakout star Fisnik Asllani, who is having a great 2025/26 season as a striker and occasional attacking midfielder - and an even more occasional right winger.

Asllani is one of the biggest young gems in German football. Just 23 years of age, the German international is one of a number of underrated talents flying high for Hoffenheim, who are on the verge of qualifying for Champions League football again in 2026.

This season, Asllani has scored a hefty eight goals with five assists. His flexibility, hold up play, and chance creation are all excellent for a player of his age, and you can see the desire to make a difference in the final score line every time he gets the ball.

With Premier League rivals Chelsea and German giants Bayern Munich interested in Asllani, Tottenham Hotspur are very much the underdogs in this transfer battle. If Bayern are seriously interested in Asllani, it is difficult envisioning the player wanting to join anyone else, as all the top German talents tend to favor Die Roten. And that is even assuming Asllani would leave Hoffenheim this season, given they are on the verge of European football.
