Tottenham Hotspur are fresh off making back to back statements to the rest of the Premier League, as they beat out Manchester United and Real Madrid to the 85 million pound signing of rising 21 year old Portuguese star Mateus Fernandes from rivals West Ham United, and they also landed 100 million pound Serie A champion Sandro Tonali from Newcastle United after he received interest from title contenders Arsenal and Manchester City in 2026.

In addition to those two blockbuster midfield transfers, Roberto De Zerbi also successfully brought in Brighton star Jan Paul van Hecke, fresh off a great World Cup campaign, to play center back for him, and veterans Marcos Senesi and Andrew Robertson joined the back four for free.

Now, Tottenham are ready to focus on a new look attack, with many fans expecting both a starting left winger and starting striker to finally at least partially replace the insane production left behind by Premier League legends Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.

Tottenham are going crazy this year

According to a report from Sami Mokbel of BBC Sport, the major statements and unprecedented financial investment from Tottenham Hotspur will not dry out just yet. Mokbel reports that Spurs are prepared to spend a further 250 million pounds this offseason, and he says that Tottenham still want to make more statement signings to the rest of the Premier League.

Tottenham have been linked to Bournemouth's 20 year old striker sensation Eli Junior Kroupi, another AC Milan pedigree player in Rafael Leao (Tonali's teammate in 2022 when the hoisted the Scudetto), Marcus Rashford, and Manchester City winger Savinho. With 250 millino pounds in their pockets, they could legitimately afford three of those players if they wanted to.

Spurs fans have always said that they will believe it when they see it when it comes to reports of investment, because even after getting Xavi Simons and Mohammed Kudus last summer, Spurs fizzled out on the rest of their promises, coming up empty handed on the left wing and doing nothing at striker besides acquiring bust loan signing Randal Kolo Muani from PSG. And then in the winter, all they did was sign Conor Gallagher.

But now, Spurs fans have every reason to believe the club is actually serious all of a sudden, because they can see the 185 million pound investment in Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali. Spurs have been the biggest buyers in the Premier League this summer, and fans can't wait to see what Roberto De Zerbi could cook up next in the attack with 250 million pounds to spare.
