Any supporters unconvinced by Thomas Frank will have their heads turned if he's able to bring Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze to the club this summer.

Eze is almost universally appreciated within the fanbase, and Spurs' interest in the England international is supposedly long-standing. He's simply a player who'd just look right in Tottenham white, much like James Maddison and Jack Grealish, who could be linking up with former Spurs boss Antonio Conte in Naples.

Chess fiend Eze purred in tandem with Michael Olise down the stretch two seasons ago and took some time to settle into 2024/25 as Palace attempted to cope with the loss of the French winger to Bayern Munich. However, the mercurial playmaker turned it on when it mattered most, and he scored the only goal in the FA Cup final as Palace claimed their first-ever major trophy.

That'd be a great way to bow out, eh?

According to TBR Football, new Spurs boss Frank is a fan of the Palace playmaker, following in the footsteps of Ange Postecoglou, who supposedly asked the club to sign Eze as a potential Son Heung-min replacement.

The skipper is set to leave this summer, but not until he's fulfilled necessary commercial duties on Spurs' pre-season tour to the Far East. Saudi clubs are interested, while Jose Mourinho reportedly met with the 32-year-old to discuss a potential switch to Fenerbahce.

Eze, of course, wouldn't be a like-for-like Son replacement. While adept out wide, you want to Englishman to be working from between the lines in more central positions. He's an off-the-cuff footballer who's joyous to watch in full cry—the Ginola, Berbatov, Van der Vaart type. Different in profile from the aforementioned names, but a talent capable of galvanising the collective through his individual, unscripted brilliance.

Spurs also view the 26-year-old as attainable this summer due to the presence of a release clause believed to be in the region of £60m. However, other clubs are also on his tail, including Aston Villa and Arsenal.

Eze's one of several proven Premier League attackers Spurs are reportedly after, with Bryan Mbeumo, Antoine Semenyo and Mohammed Kudus also on the club's radar. Interestingly, these four all provide something different in attack—Mbeumo: final third efficiency, Semenyo: physical outlet and ball-striking off both feet, Kudus: ball-carrying and versatility.

The addition of just one could prove transformative, and so many wish for Eze to be prioritised. It feels like a signing that can't go wrong.
