Tottenham Hotspur fans are no strangers to their club's players being underrated, and the latest ratings for EA FC 26 were certainly no exception to the long-standing trend of Spurs being treated rather flippantly by the mainstream crowd.
Yes, Tottenham were poor in the league last season, but they were solid in the 2023/24 campaign and have been off to a strong start with a new manager in 2025/26. Furthermore, Tottenham won the 2024/25 Europa League title, so you'd think that would have earned their star players more attention.
Here are three Tottenham stars who, in particular, were snubbed by EA FC in the latest edition of their popular football franchise.
CB Cristian Romero, 82
Even though Cristian Romero was literally named Europa League Player of the Tournament and has Copa America and World Cup titles to his name, that didn't prevent him from being rated criminally low in EA FC 26.
A rating of 82 is generally given to a solid, above-average Premier League starter, and whlie that's not a bad rating, Romero has clearly surpassed the designation of merely being "solid". Quite honestly, he was already better than an 82-rated center back when he was playing for Atalanta in Serie A before joining Spurs.
There are many players, including Liverpool star Alexis Mac Allister, who view Romero as a player in contention for being the best center back in the world, given what he has accomplished in some of world football's most prestigious tournaments.
Excellent on the ball and an elite tackler, Romero is a sure-fire, world-class center back. Those players merit a rating above 85, and an 87 or 86 at the lowest would suit a player who has been one of the Premier League's best for the last few seasons.
CB Micky van de Ven, 82
Likewise, Micky van de Ven is arguably an even better pure defender than Romero due to his reading of the game and scary athleticism, especially his pace. Now, EA FC did his pace rating justice with a cool 90, so he will be a much better card to play with than his rating suggests.
Yet another 82 is just straight-up lazy, and while EA FC did get the fact that even more underrated Van de Ven is just about as good as Romero, they, most importantly, got the big picture very wrong in severely underrating both world-class center backs.
The Dutchman rarely puts a foot wrong defensively, and while he lacks the passing and ball-carrying range or tackling ability of Romero, he is an even safer player and superior at reading the game. He is also world-class, and a rating of 85 would have suited him better; he was, like Romero, already at an 82 before joining Spurs.
RB Pedro Porro, 82
Pedro Porro might be the most underrated player of all the underrated players on Tottenham Hotspur, and it really feels like EA FC decided to just give an 82 to every great player associated with the Tottenham defense, including Porro and goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.
The Spanish right back is one of the most well-rounded players in his position with brilliant crossing ability, tireless ball-carrying, the occasional dangerous shot on goal from range, a great aerial presence on set pieces, and solid defensive work with his intensity and ball-winning.
Still not in the prime of his career at 25 years of age, Porro has been one of the best right backs in the world since joining Tottenham and is a borderline world-class player. A rating of 84 or 85 - just a touch below Van de Ven at 85 or 86 and Romero at 86 or 87 - would have suited him much better.
