5) Dominic Solanke for Timo Werner

Probably the most bonafide of the five changes. This is not a Werner pile on, genuine sympathy with the guy, but that performance on Thursday sticks out like a sore thumb, despite so many other poor performances for competition. In a game where nearly everyone was awful, to stick out takes some doing.

In truth, Heung Min-Son is not worthy of a starting spot at the moment either. However, with the skipper, even when he is playing poorly, he may grab a goal. We saw that in the win over Chelsea. You don't get that feeling with Werner.

So, Son back to the left with Solanke up front, with Johnson remaining on the right hand side feels like the move here.

How Ange should line up against Southampton (4231); Forster; Spence, Dragusin, Gray, Udogie; Kulusevski, Sarr, Bergvall; Johnson, Solanke, Son.
