1) Djed Spence for Pedro Porro

We begin with some déjà vu. Said the exact same before Bournemouth, and it didn't feel close to happening. This shout feels like shouting into an empty room, or watering a dead plant. Still, have to suggest what you think is right, and this change feels right. On the other side, Destiny Udogie could also come out - but with Archie Gray covering at centre-back, there isn't really an alternative.

There is no doubt that Porro has a lot of qualities, but he has been awful recently. Truly. Lost his man for the goal Rangers scored last night. You could, perhaps, reluctantly accept defensive issues if he was making up for it in attack, to at least be a net neutral. But he isn't even offering that at the moment. His role in build up feels way less signifcant and impactful than in the past.

We saw Spence have an impressive pre-season. He is a huge reason why Spurs have a Carabao Cup quarter-final tie next week, after his cameo against Coventry City. He has since signed a new contract. So why not play him? What was the point of all the aforementioned things - if he is never going to get a chance? If he isn't going to play over Porro now, you fear he will never get an opportunity.
