Tottenham Hotpsur winger Mikey Moore is a young talent the organization remain incredibly high on, and unlike Luka Vuskovic, who just pushed his way out of the club with a shock 50 million pound transfer to Brighton in the Premier League, he is committed to staying at the club and not opposed to going out on loan.

While there has been a lot of speculation that Moore could join the Tottenham first team in the 2026/27 Premier League season for Roberto De Zerbi after a very strong 2025/26 campaign on loan at Rangers, there is a prevailing belief among the fans that while Moore impressed and was especially strong with decisive goals in the biggest games against Celtic, he isn't quite at the level of a Premier League Big Six team yet. He needs another loan and more seasoning.

And as Spurs start to show interest in top class winger targets like Savinho, Rafael Leao, and even England national team star Marcus Rashford, it appears Johan Lange and De Zerbi subtly feel the same way about Moore.

Dortmund make a ton of sense

According to a new report from Seb Stafford-Bloor of The Athletic, there are several clubs interested in signing Mikey Moore on loan from Tottenham Hotspur this summer transfer window, and one of them is a big one in Borussia Dortmund, who finished second in the Bundesliga last season.

This isn't the first time that Dortmund have shown interest in Moore, and they were even scouting him out as a possible permanent transfer last year. Thankfully, Spurs are not thinking of selling Moore permanently, and they will have to tread carefully with any deal with Dortmund.

But lately, Dortmund have shown an interest in signing Premier League players on loan without an interest in necessarily buying, and, to be honest, they have even more of a need for a dynamic winger and even less of a budget to work with than Roberto De Zerbi at Tottenham.

Moore needs to play, and while Spurs could use him on the wings, he would only be a rotational player at this stage. Asking him to start some games would be even more unfair than what Spurs had asked of newcomer Mathys Tel on the left wing last season.

But Dortmund could be a best case scenario. They are a big club in the Champions League, they need him, they are great working with young players, and they can give him the chance to take players on and have the taste of leading a big club. Dortmund could be the ideal one year loan landing spot for Mikey Moore in 2026.
