According to a recent report from Tom Barclay, Tottenham Hotspur are targeting a move for Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens this summer, whom is valued at £80 million pounds.
Tottenham Hotspur interested in English winger from Borussia Dortmund
He states that the player is a long term target of the club, which marries up with the reports from the autumn that the club had been to scout the player against Club Brugge, where the winger scored two goals.
Just last week, GiveMeSport also reported the club's interest in the player, which we aggregated here, if you wish to read more.
As for Gittens himself, he has scored 11 goals this season, as he nails down the left wing spot in Dortmund's side. The goals have dried up in 2025, but that can be partially attributed to how awful the German outfit have been this season, currently sitting 11th out of 18 sides in the Bundesliga.
In terms of profile, he is a very fast and dynamic left winger, who likes to take players on and open the game up. Back at the end of November, he scored a sublime solo goal in a 1-1 draw with Bayern Munich, finishing with his weaker left foot after some superb ball carrying down the left hand side.

Aside from playing for Dortmund, he is also an England U21 international, where he is team mates with Archie Gray and Dane Scarlett. In fact, in his last appearance for the young lions, he was substituted for Scarlett.
As it stands, he has a contract with Niko Kovac's side until 2028, and at the top it was mentioned that he is valued at £80m. However, as discussed - Dortmund are in serious trouble. Should they not qualify for Europe at all, they will almost surely have their hands tied, and be forced into selling him for less than what they believe him to be worth.
This would be a seriously good addition, and someone who has a great profile to play in an Ange side. Sure, he may not be here next season, but he has plenty of tools to succeed under several managers in this league.
In the Bundesliga so far this season, Gittens averages 3.3 dribbles per game. For context, at 1.8, Djed Spence averages the most for Spurs in the Premier League this season, with 1.8. You may say the leagues are different in standard, but those numbers would very likely still have him as the highest in the Premier League.
Furthermore, he averages 2.7 dribbles per game in the Champions League, still a lot more than any Spurs player does in the league. That sort of 1v1 ability is so crucial, and something Spurs have lacked so much, particularly in games against stubborn defences. They need someone who is going to open things up by taking opponents out of the game.
