This weekend, there will be once again plenty of Tottenham Hotspur loanees in action for their respective sides. Let’s take a look at who is in action, in their respective sides and respective competitions, with plenty of interesting match ups set to take place.

In the Championship, both Dane Scarlett’s Oxford United and Ashley Phillips’ Stoke City are in early action. Oxford are hosting Swansea City, whilst Stoke host Derby County. Both games are kicking off at 12:30 GMT. Phillips scored his first ever career goal in midweek, as Stoke bowed out of the Carabao Cup at the hands of Southampton.

Scarlett has seen an upturn in game time of late, starting both of the U's last two games, having not started one game before that. He has scored two goals in his last three games, and three in four if you include England U21 duty during the previous break.

Due to the first round of the FA Cup, there is no League One and Two action. However, they all have games in the FA Cup. Matthew Craig’s Barnsley side face League Two side Port Vale on the road this Saturday, at 15:00 GMT, whilst Josh Keeley and Jamie Donley’s Leyton Orient will play at National League South side Boreham Wood on Sunday — 14:00 GMT.

This could come as a good opportunity for Donley to get back in the side, as he has been left out of the previous two match day squads by Orient manager Richie Wellens.

There is a game for George Abbott tonight, as his Notts County side welcome National League North side Alfreton Town to Meadow Lane - 19:45 GMT. Given Abbott's importance to the Notts side, it is feasible that he is rested for this game, and kept fresh for their promotion push.

There is also action for Luka Vuskovic, Alfie Devine and KVC Westerlo tonight, as they host Dender in the Belgian Pro League. Devine featured in midweek as Westerlo advanced in the Belgian Cup, whilst Vuskovic was given the night off.

In La Liga, Bryan Gil, who made his return to action after injury in midweek, marking it with a goal, and his Girona side will host Leganes on Saturday, 15:15 GMT. Meanwhile, Alejo Veliz, fresh off his hat-trick in the Copa Del Rey, and his RCD Espanyol side, have the tough showdown away to FC Barcelona to contest on Sunday, at 15:15 GMT.

Good luck to everyone involved, and don't get injured.
