Tottenham Hotspur have made five signings this summer transfer window, overhauling both the defense and the midfield. In particular, a trio of expensive signings at the behest of Roberto De Zerbi - Jan Paul van Hecke, Sandro Tonali, and Mateus Fernandes - are expected to become new pillars of the club for years to come.

Now, Spurs have to do the same for an attack that was one of the most anemic in the Premier League last season, with only Richarlison nailing double digit goals and nobody healthy or consistent enough to emerge as a top creator in the side.

The main priorities will be signing a new left winger and striker, and now that the midfield has been secured, De Zerbi's attention has turned to finding the next great Premier League goal scorer. And for Spurs, the popular name has suddenly become 20 year old Bournemouth No. 9 Eli Junior Kroupi, who broke out last season with 13 Premier League goals - already owning Spurs forwards in that regard.

Eli Junior Kroupi is no bargain

Problematically, though, Kroupi may not even be available at all. According to a report from Michael Bridge and Mark McAdam of Sky Sports News, any transfer for Kroupi is considered "highly unlikely" this summer transfer window despite significant interest from Tottneham Hotspur and other notable Premier League clubs.

Sky Sports say that Bournemouth are under no pressure to sell Eli Junior Kroupi and that it would take an "astronomical" transfer fee to even get the Cherries to consider contemplating a sale at all. It seems as though Bournemouth want to give new manager Marco Rose, one of the biggest names in German coaching, a chance to work with Kroupi first before selling the young man.

Now, none of this will necessarily stop Tottenham in its tracks, as Roberto De Zerbi is a very, very ambitious man who already got Spurs to pry Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes from two Premier League clubs who were driving very hard bargains for their valuable midfielders, beating out the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City to the signings in the process.

De Zerbi will surely try to do the same with Kroupi, as he is an even bigger addition than Dominic Solanke was at 65 million pounds from Bournemouth back in 2024. It is entirely unclear what sort of price tag the Cherries are looking for here, but if Tonali went for 100 million pounds, it is reasonable to expect Bournemouth want the same for Kroupi.
