Tottenham's injury curse hasn't been restricted to the mere constraints of north London. The loanees are feeling the brunt of it, too, and one of the most promising stars on Spurs' books faces a potentially long spell on the sidelines with a knee ligament issue.
We've watched on from afar while Luka Vušković has lit up the Bundesliga from centre-back, claiming three Rookie of the Month awards for the newly-promoted Hamburg.
A monster in the air and boasting the defensive fundamentals of a seasoned Italian, Vušković has the makings of a superstar. The extent of Tottenham's plight this term has raised the question of whether we'd see the teenager in Lilywhite ever again, especially with some members of Europe's aristocracy, including Barcelona, reportedly placing Vušković on their summer transfer wishlists.
Hamburg aren't yet guaranteed safety, and Vušković's injury has hit them hard. Still, they're five points clear of St. Pauli in the relegation playoff spot with four games to play.
Vušković facing 'indefinite' spell on the sidelines with knee injury

Vušković has been out of action since 7 April with a knee injury, and Hamburg have since been battered by Stuttgart and beaten by Werder Bremen. The Croat's absence has been hard felt, and the latest updates on his recovery will only add to the nerves at the Volksparkstadion.
According to BILD, the setback Vušković suffered in training two weeks ago is more significant than first thought. His ligament injury could potentially be a season-ender, with the Evening Standard suggesting the defender faces an "indefinite spell" on the sidelines.
It's not good news for Hamburg, who are seemingly inept without him, and we can only hope the injury isn't severe enough to rule him out of his first World Cup. Vušković has played his way into Zlatko Dalić's plans ahead of the tournament, having impressed in the March friendlies.
An injury at this stage damages of chances of featuring heavily in North America, but if you're thinking selfishly in N17, the setback could reduce transfer interest in Vušković this summer. Tottenham may be resigned to losing a potentially great defender if they succumb to their first relegation in almost 50 years.
Spurs will hope to build with Vušković, although it's not yet clear what the club's plans are for the teenager in the event of survival. Hamburg would love to have him around for another year, but the Croat may be ready to begin the restoration of Tottenham's backline at the start of 2026/27.
