Although Roberto de Zerbi has been on a mission to add more veteran players to Tottenham Hotspur in an effort to get them back into the Champions League, Spurs have been built on signing ascending young talents and turning them into stars. Even De Zerbi has to admit that youth are the lifeblood of a club, and he had a lot of success churning out big talents at clubs like Brighton, Sassuolo, and, of course, Shakhtar Donetsk.

Here are a handful of current Tottenham gems who should stll be key players at the club in five years when 2031 strikes.

CM Archie Gray

Archie Gray is the best young player at Tottenham and may have even been Spurs best overall player in that awful 2025/26 season. He was phased out a bit by Roberto De Zerbi in the Italian manager's approach to focus on veterans, but it's clear that De Zerbi still rates the young English midfielder. When Spurs were at their worst under Thomas Frank and Igor Tudor, Gray was the one guy who led by example and still played well, never letting his head drop.

LB Souza

Tottenham Hotspur paid a pretty penny to snag Souza from Palmeiras, but the investment should be worth it and could be Johan Lange's next scouting master stroke after Lucas Bergvall. He did not get to play much in his opening months, but when he did play, Souza did not look out of place. The Brazilian international has a brighter future than Destiny Udogie and is potentially already better than England national team player Djed Spence.

GK Antonin Kinsky

The way Antonin Kinsky turned up his play in the final month of the 2025/26 Premier League season and relegation battle is nothing short of extroardinary, and he inspired so many at the club with his game saving performances just weeks after he was humiliated by Igor Tudor and that awful Atletico Madrid pitch (seriously, they should be banned for their unsafe pitch conditions, as their nonsense cost other clubs against them, too). Kinsky is a top young goalkeeper and the future of Tottenham between the sticks.

CM Lucas Bergvall

Although Lucas Bergvall did not enjoy his best moment in the 2025/26 season, he was set up to fail on multiple accounts. Under Ange Postecoglou, the gem from Sweden was such a key part of the club's Europa League triumph. His energy, verve to go forward, and athleticism still make him one of the best young box to box midfielders in Europe.

CB Luka Vuskovic

Say what you want about the Luka Vuskovic situation and the stink his reps seem to be making about another loan deal, but this guy is a special center back with all the tools to be a great player, even if his lack of speed and quickness is a bit concerning. Vuskovic is a core part of the future of this team, and if he isn't a fixture for Tottenham in 2031, something went very, very wrong.
