After the international break, Tottenham return to Premier League action this weekend. They will host Luton Town at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as Ange Postecoglou hopes to keep up with Aston Villa, with that game-in-hand at the back of his mind.
Currently, Spurs sit fifth in the Premier League. They are 11 points off Arsenal at the top of the table, so they are seemingly out of the title race. However, they are still within a shot of the top four, being just three points behind Aston Villa in fourth place, with a game-in-hand on Villa.
Luton Town are not having a great season but they have shown promising performances throughout. Particularly against some of the bigger sides, they have put in some fine attacking displays and are capable of battling until the very end of matches. This is something Spurs will need to be wary of.
In the last five Premier League matches, Tottenham have won three and lost twice. Luton, on the other hand, are without a win. They have picked up just two points out of a possible 15 in their last five Premier League outings. Therefore, Tottenham are the clear favourites but anything can happen in the Premier League.
