In today's Tottenham transfer news - Timo Werner has decided what he wants to do with his future, an update on Ivan Toney & more.
Tottenham transfer news - Timo Werner wants to stay at Spurs
They do say never fall in love with a loan player. Unfortunately for Tottenham players, this has been nearly impossible with Timo Werner. The RB Leipzig loanee received a mixed reception when Spurs first expressed an interest in January. This reception was likely a result of his poor performance when he played for Chelsea.
However, the Germany international has been nothing but impressive for Tottenham since he signed on loan in the January transfer window. He has a decision to make, though.
According to Bundesliga expert Florian Plettenberg, Timo Werner would like to stay at Tottenham. The club has an option to buy for around €17m, and this clause must be triggered by Ange Postecoglou before EURO 2024.

The option to buy of around €17m must be activated by the start of the EUROs at the latest ✍️

If it were down to me, the decision would be easy. Werner has scored twice and provided two assists in the Premier League. He's a cheap option heading into next season.
Tottenham transfer news - Interest expressed in Ivan Toney
According to The Sun, Tottenham have an expressed an interest in signing Ivan Toney from Brentford at the end of the season. Since his return from being banned, Toney has scored four goals in the Premier League. Spurs will be in competition with London rivals Chelsea and West Ham, should they pursue the Brentford man.
Tottenham transfer news - Bryan Gil's future is elsewhere
The signs are all pointing to Bryan Gil leaving the club at the end of the season. Hotspur HQ revealed last week that the 23-year-old wanted to leave. Indeed, GiveMeSport revealed the feeling is mutual, since he is no longer wanted at Tottenham. Not to be cut-throat, but it's not a big loss by any means.
