Ange Postecoglou expected to discard Bryan Gil this season
In perhaps the most unsurprising news, Bryan Gil could no longer be a Tottenham player after this season. According to GIVEMESPORT, Gil will look for a Tottenham departure this summer, with the club willing to let him leave.
Bryan Gil joined the club with plenty of promise, signed by former manager Nuno Espirito Santo. However, he has failed to hit the heights expected of him. Whether it be through his own fault of external conditions, it's good that Ange Postecoglou accepts the reality and is not fighting a lost cause.
Gil won't go down as a club legend but there will be no bitter feeling about his departure, either. Wishing Gil the best of luck in his next adventure.
Tottenham could sign Leicester City star for £30-40m
According to Football Insider, Tottenham transfer target and Leicester City standout Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is available for around £30m-£40m this summer.
The Englishman has been a standout performer in the Championship this season and could be a key factor to Leicester's promotion, should they secure it (the race is incredibly tight as things stand). However, in the summer transfer window, Dewsbury-Hall will undeniably be a player of interest to many Premier League clubs.
As a local Leicester lad, he is a fan favourite. However, it goes without saying that not all things last forever, especially in football.
Tottenham show an interest in Riccardo Calafiori
In their bid to bolster the defence heading into the new season, Tottenham are linked with a plethora of defensive options. The latest to join that list if Riccardo Calafiori, one of the best young defenders in Serie A currently. According to Tuttosport, Tottenham have shown a keen interest in signing the 21-year-old Bologna star in the summer transfer window.
Calafiori has made 26 Serie A appearances this season, providing three assists during this time. His primary position is centre back, but he has the versatility to play on the left, which could come in handy for Ange Postecoglou. He would most certainly be a transfer "of the Ange variety", so to speak.
