It has been a long time coming, but Tottenham could finally sell a Jose Mourinho transfer this summer.

Now that Ange Postecoglou is at the helm, Tottenham Hotspur are best-placed to be steered in a different direction. Ever since Mauricio Pochettino left the club, Spurs have been without a manager to come in with a long-term plan. Postecoglou has provided exactly that and now, the Tottenham board must trust his vision by signing the players he wants to sign and sell the players he requests.

One player who simply needs to leave Tottenham this summer is Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. The Danish midfielder who was signed by Jose Mourinho is clearly an exceptional midfielder, who is not in the plans for Tottenham going forward. Whether fans agree with Postecoglou's decision or not, nobody can deny the mutual-benefit for all benefits if Hojbjerg is sold.

But which club wants to sign Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg? This was the problem Tottenham faced, with a lack of suitors... Until now.

According to a report from AS (h/t Sport Witness), current Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone likes Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as a player and he is considered as a transfer target. However, unfortunately, Hojbjerg is the second choice for Atletico Madrid, since Simeone would prefer to sign Matt O'Riley of Celtic.

It can be said that Tottenham will consider offers for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg this summer. In fact, a lot of their future spending could depend on the amount of revenue they generate from player sales. Selling Hojbjerg, who is still a priceable asset despite not being in the Tottenham lineup, is a golden opportunity to raise more funds.

Last season, Hojbjerg made just eight Premier League starts. While he was often a used substitute, this is not good enough for a player of his capabilities. Therefore, he is an expected Tottenham sale this summer.

Where do you think Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will play next season?
