Tottenham are reportedly still interested in signing Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, who has also been linked to Arsenal and Manchester City.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly set their sights on Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze, with fresh interest in securing the talented midfielder's services next summer.

According to Football Insider, the London club are keeping a close watch on the 26-year-old, whose current contract runs until June 2027 and includes a £68 million release clause that will become active next summer.

Eze has emerged as one of the standout players in the Premier League, particularly after a strong start to the new season.

With three goals and one assist in just eight appearances across all competitions, his performances have not only caught the attention of Tottenham but also several other top clubs.

During the recent transfer window, Tottenham had been linked with Eze but ultimately decided to pursue Burnley’s Wilson Odobert instead, completing the deal for around £30 million, including add-ons.

While this decision demonstrated Spurs’ commitment to addressing immediate squad needs, their interest in Eze has not diminished. The midfielder's skill set might align with Tottenham's playing style, making him an appealing option for manager Ange Postecoglou.

With key players like Heung-min Son and James Maddison already making significant contributions to the squad, Eze’s arrival could enhance their attacking depth, providing more options in crucial matches.

While a transfer for Eze in January seems unlikely, Tottenham are reportedly expected to keep a close eye on his development throughout the season.

Should the £68 million release clause be activated, it could pave the way for a more straightforward negotiation process, allowing Spurs to secure a player who could significantly improve their midfield.

A lot can happen between now and the summer of 2025, and the perspective of Ange Postecoglou or the Spurs management may change, making the potential signing of Eze less urgent. The reality is that it is still too early to assume that a transfer is a real possibility. We’ll have to wait and see.
