Tottenham Hotspur's signing of Dominic Solanke has stirred up new questions about what’s next for Richarlison at the club.

Stephen Warnock, former Aston Villa defender and now a pundit, has suggested that the Brazilian forward might be unhappy with the situation and could potentially seek an exit before the transfer window closes.

Richarlison, who joined Tottenham from Everton on 2022, has struggled to secure a consistent starting spot, particularly with Harry Kane previously leading the line.

Now, with Kane's departure, many expected Richarlison to step up and become Tottenham’s main striker. However, the club's decision to bring in Solanke for a significant fee indicates that the competition for the number nine role is far from over.

Even before Solanke's arrival, there were already rumors linking Richarlison with a move away from North London. Various outlets have reported that Tottenham might be open to selling the Brazilian, with clubs from Saudi Arabia showing particular interest.

Despite the speculation, Richarlison recently made it clear that he turned down a lucrative offer from the Saudi Pro League, affirming his desire to stay in the Premier League and fight for his place.

Tottenham’s head coach, Ange Postecoglou, has publicly stated that Richarlison is very much part of his plans for the upcoming season.

He sees the Brazilian competing directly with Solanke for the central striker position. However, Warnock believes that if Richarlison finds himself benched for the first couple of matches, his frustration could boil over, leading him to consider a late move away from the club.

In a recent interview with Sky Sports, Warnock expressed his doubts about Richarlison’s willingness to accept a secondary role.

He suggested that the Brazilian might opt to go out on loan if he feels he is not getting enough playing time, especially with the arrival of a new striker who could overshadow him.

Richarlison’s situation is complicated. He arrived at Tottenham knowing he would have to compete with Kane, which shows he is not afraid of fighting for his place.

However, with Solanke’s arrival and the pressure to perform, the upcoming weeks will be crucial in determining his role at the club.
