Tottenham Hotspur are soon to begin their 2024/25 campaign, after a positive pre-season and an even more positive summer transfer window. Ange Postecoglou has built on the foundations he set for the club during his first season in charge and he hopes that his new additions will aid the quest for silverware this season.

As things stand, Tottenham Hotspur have signed four players. Spurs have signed Dominic Solanke, Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall and Min-hyeok Yang.

Of course, the anticipation is high for Tottenham fans to witness their four new signings in action. Hopefully throughout the season, fans of the club will be able to witness all of them in action at one stage or another. That said, here are 4 predictions for the Tottenham new signings.

Dominic Solanke to play a key role as the top goal-scorer

Without a doubt, Dominic Solanke is one of the most exciting signings in the Premier League this summer. The England striker, after not being involved in action for his country at EURO 2024, has had a full pre-season under his belt (albeit with Bournemouth) and is ready to build on the momentum he reached last season.

Last season, Dominic Solanke was one of only seven players who out-scored Son Heung-Min in the Premier League. Solanke scored 19 Premier League goals, whereas Son (Tottenham's top goal-scorer) scored 17.

The difference is only two goals but this should incredibly excite Tottenham fans. Dominic Solanke is only on an upward trajectory and he will want to match his tally from last season as a minimum, with the ultimate goal of bettering it. This type of healthy competition with his previous self will only serve to benefit Tottenham. I think he will play a key role and be Tottenham's top goal-scorer next season.

Archie Gray will play a key multidimensional squad role

Archie Gray has burst onto the scene at a young age. He has been involved in Premier League matchday squads but he is still yet to feature in the Premier League. Therefore, fans should not expect the youngster to play a massive role early into the season.

However, he will certainly be given chances. If pre-season is anything to go by, then Ange Postecoglou would have been impressed by the Englishman's ability to slot into most positions in the midfield and defence, while looking comfortable. In fact, his best position was actually at centre-back, despite being a "natural" midfielder.

Gray is exceptional at winning back possession for his side and he is also a brilliant dribbler of the ball. Therefore, he is multifaceted and could serve a key squad role next season. Particularly when the fixtures come thick and fast, Ange Postecoglou will rely on Gray to plug the gaps which may be caused by injuries or fatigue.

Lucas Bergvall will provide healthy competition to James Maddison

It is pretty unanimously agreed that James Maddison will operate as the primary number 10 for Tottenham Hotspur next season. The Englishman will hope to have a more consistent season, as he went through dry patches last campaign. However, there's no denying that he's an excellent linker of play and Tottenham have one of the business in this position.

That said, Ange Postecoglou will benefit from the healthy competition which Lucas Bergvall is set to give to James Maddison. In pre-season, Bergvall impressed for Tottenham.

Bergvall is a central midfielder by trade but he can more than efficiently operate as a number 10. In fact, this is Bergvall's best shot of getting into the first season, so it's likely where his Tottenham future lies. He is great at carrying the ball forward, has quick feet and surprisingly his aerial ability is good. Therefore, Bergvall could compete for a spot with Maddison.

Yang Min-hyeok will get minutes in the cup

Last but certainly not least, Tottenham Hotspur have signed the 18-year-old South Korea international Yang Min-hyeok. He is still early into his professional career but he was a worthwhile coup for Ange Postecoglou and certainly a player to watch out for in the future.

He is a fast player who operates best on the right-wing. This is a position which could realistically be broken into over the next few seasons. However, fans should not harbour high hopes to see Yang Min-hyeok in the starting lineup on a consistent basis.

In fact, there is a sound argument as to why Yang should be sent out on loan to continue getting match experience. However, upon closer examination, the conclusion is reached that he is able to get minutes for Spurs. Particularly as the season progresses and squad rotation is necessary, Tottenham fans should expect to see Yang partake in the cup matches and the Europa League.
