Chelsea has reportedly agreed to personal terms with Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise, who has also been a target for Tottenham Hotspur.

The talented 22-year-old Frenchman, known for his technical quality and attacking prowess, had an impressive 2023-24 Premier League season, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists in just 19 league appearances, according to Transfermarkt.

Interest in Olise from Spurs first emerged back in January, as reported by HITC, with Tottenham allegedly having made an inquiry to his representatives. Despite Tottenham's initial interest, the competition for Olise has been fierce, with reports indicating that the winger has a release clause of over £50 million in his contract.

Recent reports suggest that the battle for Olise's signature has narrowed down to Manchester United and Chelsea. According to GiveMeSport, Chelsea has now taken a significant step forward by agreeing to personal terms with the winger ahead of a potential summer transfer to Stamford Bridge. The Blues are currently in negotiations with Crystal Palace regarding the payment schedule for the deal.

While it is not a done deal yet, with Manchester United still potentially in the mix, Chelsea appears to be in the driver's seat to secure Olise's services. Palace, bound by the release clause, seems unable to prevent the winger's departure if the clause is met.

Interestingly, it appears that Olise is not at the top of Tottenham’s transfer priorities for the summer. Based on recent reports, Spurs seem to be focusing more on his Palace teammate, Eberechi Eze, as they plan their squad improvements under new manager Ange Postecoglou.

Olise's potential move to Chelsea would certainly be a significant addition to the West London club's attacking options. His ability to break down defenses with skill and creativity could make him a key player for the Blues in the coming seasons. However, with interest from multiple top clubs, the final destination for Olise remains to be seen.
