Tottenham were involved in yet another late-late show in the Premier League against Crystal Palace at the weekend. After they found themselves a goal down courtesy of an Eberechi Eze free-kick in the second half, Spurs came up with three late goals (via Timo Werner, Cristian Romero and Son Heung-Min) to eventually win the game 3-1.

In many ways, the adrenaline rush from the spectacular finish may have resulted in Spurs fans forgetting about their injury concerns heading into this match. Notbaly, Pape Matar Sarr was left out of the starting eleven, despite being a regular feature this season for Spurs.

Despite the Senegalese international coming off the bench, it did leave many confused why he didn't start the match, particularly since Spurs looked better with him on the pitch. According to The Spurs Express, though, Ange Postecoglou did clear up with Sarr had been left out of the lineup.

Clearing up the confusion, Ange Postecoglou said: “He's had a bit of a back issue since he got back from sort of the Africa Cup of Nations. He's been dealing with it and it's getting better but it's not sort of totally free, so it's something we're working on with him. It doesn't stop him training, he's still been training, but it does restrict him, it's something we're constantly working on but from what I understand he'll be fine."

So, this is ultimately good news for Spurs fans. After all, Sarr is an important player, so resting him during times where his presence isn't as necessary is the right course of action.
