It has been confirmed who Tottenham Hotspur will be facing in the new "league phase" of the 24/25 Europa League campaign.

Ange Postecoglu's men will play four games at home and four away. It is done so they never play two home games or two away games in a row. The eight sides Spurs will play, in order of home game then away game, are as follows:

Roma, Rangers, AZ Alkmaar, Ferencvaros, Qarabag, Galatasaray, Elfsborg, Hoffenheim.

So that's Roma at home and Hoffenheim away, with all the fixtures in between in alternate order. This means that Spurs will have to play away to Galatasaray in the famous hostile atmosphere they have over in Istanbul. They will be facing off against former long-term central defender Davinson Sanchez.

A pretty nice draw for Spurs, where they should be able to qualify automatically for the knockout phase, whilst also having some fun games in there. A trip North of the border to play Rangers, a trip to Hungary in the game at Ferencvaros, and the aforementioned visit to Turkey to showdown against Galatasaray.

Spurs couldn't have got much closer to a reunion with former manager Jose Mourinho. They will play Roma, who Mourinho left in January, and his current employers Fenerbahce's fierce rivals Galatasaray.

Those two above fixtures are surely the hardest games Spurs will have during this phase along with the visit to Hoffenheim. There can be very few complaints amongst the Spurs fanbase at the draw, and so far the reaction has been very positive.

Some of these games will be the perfect opportunity for the likes of Djed Spence and Radu Dragusin to give Ange a headache for the Premier League starting XI. It is a good chance for Archie Gray to get starts and force himself into the first XI if he hasn't already done so by then.

With there being no teams dropping down from the Champions League this year, this represents a great chance for Spurs to try and go deep into the competition, and from there, who knows what could happen.

The fixture dates will be released in due course.
