Tottenham captain Heung Min-Son fires in brace for South Korea
By Tom Vinall
Tottenham captain and talisman Heung Min-Son scored two for his country South Korea in a 7-0 World Cup qualifying win over Singapore.
Also the captain of his country, Son played 87 minutes before being substituted for Se-hun Oh (SofaScore).
This emphatic victory for Son and his counterparts means that South Korea have guaranteed their spot in the next round of the AFC World Cup qualification.
Although the level of opposition clearly is not the best and nowhere near the standard Son faces every week in the Premier League, his durability is as impressive as ever.
Son played 35 Premier League games last season, despite jetting off to Qatar for mid-season Asian games halfway through the campaign. Son played in 6 games during the Asian games, including two extra-time periods, meaning he had played 600 minutes of football in just 22 days (Sofascore, Transfermarkt)

His durability in being able to turn up for his country and play his part in a hammering just shows how reliable the Spurs number 7 is. Regardless of the form you always know Sonny will be there and give absolutely 100% effort and endeavor every game for club and country.
The winger's brace put him on 48 goals in 126 games for his country, and he will be looking to make it a half-century of international goals when South Korea faces off with China in what will finally be Son's last game of the season before he can get some much-needed rest and recovery.
