On Sunday, Tottenham Hotspur face Manchester United at Old Trafford for matchday six of the Premier League season. You do not envy the midfield headache that Ange Postecoglu will have for this game.

Whilst not playing as a midfielder as such, Archie Gray put in a seriously impressive display against Qarabag, with and without the ball. The inverted right-back role still requires technical proficiency in central spaces, so Ange will likely be at least seriously considering Gray for a midfield berth on Sunday.

Pape Matar Sarr scored in the win over Qarabag and also scored against United last season. Whilst the goal on Thursday was not one for a goal-of-the-month contender, attacking the back post is a serious tool to have, and gave Spurs a rare set-piece goal, which is handy in itself. So, even if the goal was not from an open-play situation, Ange may see those instincts as too useful not to use for the game at Old Trafford.

Rodrigo Bentancur has not been handed a ban as of right now, so all we can do is assume that he is available for selection here. With an impressive performance against Brentford, he will no doubt be someone that Ange strongly weighs up for this game. Bentancur also scored against United last season, and in this exact fixture.

Yves Bissouma put in a top cameo in the win over Brentford, with his perfect slide tackle beginning the move for the third goal that put the game to bed. The Malian midfielder also put in a disciplined performance against Qarabag during a difficult situation for the team.

Whilst having those four players for two midfield spots in a 4231 is enough of a selection headache, there is also a cat thrown amongst the pigeons. Against Brentford, Ange played with two "number eights" with James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski either side of Bentancur holding it down. Will Ange do the same at Old Trafford? If he does, that's only one spot available for four players who are in a good moment. Let's see.
