By Tom Vinall
In the era of journalists such as Fabrizio Romano, David Ornstein, and others - it is very rare that you see a signing that hasn't been mooted in the previous days.
Yet, the first talk of any deal for Burnley attacker Wilson Odobert came within half an hour of the clubs' official announcement.
The aforementioned Fabrizio Romano reports the signing is for £25m+£5m, with a 10% sell-on clause for Burnley.
Fans had only just been doing their research on Spurs' new signing before the club had made it an official signing.
So if you still need to find about Tottenham's new number 28 - let's take a look.
Odobert is a 19-year old French attacking player who came through the academy at Paris Saint Germain. In his senior career, he has played for CSG group owned Troyes in France as well as Burnley.
The new Spurs signing played 29 Premier League games last season, starting 25. He scored three goals, provided two assists and created seven big chances.

He also scored in Burnley's resounding 4-1 win at fellow recently relegated side Luton Town on Monday night.
According to Transfermarkt, Odobert is a versatile player. In his career, he has played 23 games off the left, 15 off the right, eight as a number ten, and seven as a center-forward.
This versatility can be really useful for Spurs, and can help Ange Postecoglu manage the upcoming Europa League campaign.
Per WhoScored, Odobert was fourth for most successful dribbles for teenagers in the top five leagues last season, with 53. Lamine Yamal, Brajam Gruda, and Destine Doue were the only three ahead of him - so very good company.
According to DataMB, Odobert's stats vs other top 5 league U19 players were as such; Progressive runs: 3rd. Accelerations: 3rd. Shots: 3rd. Touches in box: 3rd. Expected assists: 4th.
Fans have been urging Spurs to take a chance on players in the Championship, with players such as Adam Wharton making immediate impacts after moves to the Premier League, and it is good to see Spurs making an investment on players' potential, with this signing and the acquisition of Archie Gray.
It will be very exciting to see how Odobert develops under the stewardship under Ange Postecoglou.
