Son Heung-Min opens up on Harry Kane's departure from Tottenham
Harry Kane's departure was a big hit for Tottenham after the striker became one of the biggest idols of the club, the top goalscorer ever, and one of the best players in the world. He's now trying to win trophies with Bayern Munich, but his impact on his former team is still present.
Son Heung-Min has opened up about this painful decision, noting that Kane's scoring contribution was a huge loss for Spurs. Talking with TNT Sports, Son reflected on his connection with Kane, crediting their time together for their huge chemistry on the field.
“Me and H, we had something different. A connection together, nearly 10 years together. Playing in almost the same position, we knew where we are. We were also demanding each other very, very much. It was a very special connection. It was a huge honor playing with him. For me, he's one of the best in the world. He left, which was really sad for me, but it was a good move for him. Now he's at Bayern scoring over 30 goals, and I hope he can score more goals," Son said.

This led to Son describing his new duo with James Maddison. They're also putting on big performances for Spurs, leading them to compete to return to the Champions League next season.
That said, the Son-Kane duo was a scoring machine for Tottenham. Back in 2022, they set a new Premier League record for goal combination when the Korean forward scored the 37th goal of the tandem in a 4-0 win over Leeds.
They made history together and fans won't ever forget that. However, both Tottenham and Kane have moved on and are ready to compete for different goals now. Kane is having a terrific season, individually speaking, scoring 32 goals in the Bundesliga with several games ahead.
On the other hand, Spurs are trying to return to the Champions League and then try to fight for a championship next season. Many wonder how Harry Kane would have fared under Ange Postecoglou, but that question won't be answered anytime soon.
