Roma interested in Tottenham player to replace outgoing star

According to high-profile Spanish media outlet El Chiringuito (h/t Sky Sports) - AS Roma and Daniele De Rossi want to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Giovani Lo Celso to replace the parting Paulo Dybala.
Several reports have suggested that Paulo Dybala is off to newly promoted Saudi Pro League club Al-Qadisiyah this summer, and now new reports have surfaced suggesting that they will look to Giovani Lo Celso of Spurs to replace him.
The midfielder was left out of the matchday squad to face Bayern Munich last weekend as he is not a part of Ange Postecoglou's plans and is "free to leave" the club during the remaining couple of weeks of the summer transfer window.
Lo Celso has been linked to Real Betis and Aston Villa recently as well as a reunion with former Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho at Fenerbahce in Turkey.
With the likes of Emerson Royal and Pierre-Emile Højbjerg out of the door, attention has turned to offloading Lo Celso and Reguilon, both of whom have only one year on their existing Tottenham Hotspur contracts and this window is seen as the last opportunity to get transfer fees, however modest, for both players.

According to the report from El Chiringuito, Spurs want around 15 million Euros for any sale of Giovani Lo Celso. That would be good money for an unwanted player with only one year remaining on their contract, but for those exact reasons - a club may not be willing to pay that fee.
Spurs will be conscious of the fact Roma will be bringing in a good fee for Dybala considering the reported deal is to a club in the Saudi Pro League, and will not be wanting to be lowballed by their Italian counterparts.
Funnily enough - Spurs signed Lo Celso as an alternative to Dybala in 2019 after his move to Spurs fell through at the last minute. Now he could be replacing Dybala five years later - a true full-circle moment.
