Pundit reveals Tottenham not in talks for top transfer target
By Manuel Meza
With all the buzz about transfers, Fabrizio Romano has cleared things up, saying that Tottenham Hotspur isn’t actually talking with Juventus about Federico Chiesa.
Even though there have been plenty of reports and rumors about Spurs being interested, Romano confirms that there haven’t been any talks between the two clubs.
Recent reports had fueled excitement among Tottenham fans, hinting at a possible move for Chiesa, the talented Italian forward. CaughtOffside reported earlier that Liverpool was also keen on Chiesa, intensifying the competition.
The idea was that Tottenham might make an early move to secure Chiesa’s services before Liverpool could make their own bid.
Over the past month, multiple sources backed the notion that Spurs were pushing hard to sign Chiesa. Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg was among the first high-profile reporters to state that Tottenham had “concrete interest” in the Juventus star, even claiming that the club had contacted Chiesa’s agent.
Additionally, various outlets estimated that Chiesa could be available for a transfer fee in the region of €20 million to €25 million this summer.

However, Fabrizio Romano has dispelled these rumors. According to the renowned journalist, Tottenham Hotspur has had no contact with Juventus regarding a deal for Chiesa.
This revelation contradicts earlier reports and suggests that any suggestions of a potential transfer were premature or unfounded.
Romano did confirm that Tottenham is indeed looking to strengthen their squad with another attacking player before the transfer window closes.
Despite this, it appears that Federico Chiesa will not be the target. The club's search for a new forward will likely turn towards other options, such as Eberechi Eze or Pedro Neto, both of whom have been linked with Spurs in recent weeks.
Romano's latest update clears up the mixed signals about Tottenham’s transfer moves. With the window still open, Spurs fans can look forward to the club targeting other players to boost their attack for the new season.
