Pundit casts doubt on future of Tottenham, Man Utd managers

Ange Postecoglou has made an impressive start to life at Tottenham Hotspur since taking over as manager in June 2023. With his fresh approach and attacking philosophy, he has quickly won over supporters and players alike. However, despite this promising beginning, questions have already surfaced about whether he will see out the season, let alone establish a long-term future at the club.
The speculation began when football presenter Will Brazier expressed doubts during a conversation with Mark Goldbridge on the That’s Football podcast. Brazier suggested that both Postecoglou and Manchester United’s Erik ten Hag might not be in their current roles by the end of the season:
"I think the answer to that question is both of them won’t have the managers that they’ve got now, and I worry for who Spurs would appoint next. There is growing noise within the Spurs camp that just with last season, the start of this season, the next run of games, if they get that wrong."
Despite these concerns, Postecoglou’s start at Tottenham has been nothing short of remarkable. In his first 10 Premier League matches, his team went unbeaten, earning Postecoglou the Premier League Manager of the Month award for three consecutive months.

This unbeaten streak included a significant 2-1 victory over Liverpool, ending a five-year winless run against the Reds. Under his guidance, Tottenham collected 23 points from their first nine games, a record for any Premier League manager in such a timeframe.
This impressive start has given Spurs fans plenty of reasons to be hopeful, as they've watched their team play with newfound energy and flair. Postecoglou’s knack for blending in new signings and revitalising the squad has been crucial to this early momentum. Although the club just missed out on a Champions League spot by a mere two points in his first season, it’s clear that real progress has been made under his leadership.
However, football is a notoriously fickle sport, and Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is known for his unpredictable decisions. While Postecoglou’s position seems secure for now, Levy’s track record suggests that nothing is ever certain at Spurs. Personally, it would seem crazy to sack Postecoglou, although I don't find the idea of Ten Hag being let go quite so far-fetched. We’ll see.
