Tottenham have been busy in the 2024 summer transfer window. With just over a week remaining, it remains to be seen whether or not Ange Postecoglou will feel the need to strengthen his side anymore.

New signings Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray were in action on Monday night. It wasn't the competitive debut they'd have hoped for, with Tottenham dropping points against newly-promoted Leicester City. Regardless, is was through no fault of their own, and they worked well in a double pivot when introduced to the match.

Archie Gray is without a doubt the better defensive midfielder of the two (Bergvall is a playmaker, after all). The former Leeds United midfielder plays with plenty of maturity and is tipped as one to watch for the future.

Indeed, Archie Gray has been given another reason to feel confident about his ability. The teenager was recognised as playing a pivotal role in the EFL Championship last season with Leeds United, despite his former team's inability to secure promotion. Leeds reached the play-off final, with Gray playing the enitre match.

His performances for Leeds United last season have been recognised, as he earned a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Year. Gray can add this to his incredible list of personal honours already, since last season he won the Championship Young Player of the Season award, as well as the same award for Leeds United.

Postecoglou certainly has big plans for Archie Gray going forward. Throughout pre-season, the youngster played well in a variety of different positions for Tottenham. His versatility and maturity at a young age makes him a worthwhile option for Tottenham to have at their disposal.

Particularly with Yves Bissouma being suspended from first-team action by Ange Poestecoglou (and potentially even leaving too), the next few weeks present a golden opportunity for Archie Gray to prove himself. He will certainly have every Tottenham supporter backing him until the end.

Do you think Archie Gray was a good signing for Tottenham Hotspur?
