Dutch defender Micky van de Ven has been a terrific addition to Tottenham this season, completing a remarkable duo with Cristian Romero on defense, saving the team and shutting down attackers throughout the season.

The 22-year-old player has become a key part of the starting lineup, with Tottenham struggling whenever he's missed games.

After his absence in the Fulham and Luton Town clashes due to a hamstring injury, van de Ven returned against West Ham in what was a dissapointing game for the team, ending in a 1-1 draw.

That said, the Dutchman and the rest of the squad turned the page and dominated Nottingham Forest on Sunday, with a 52nd-minute screamer from the young defender to give Spurs the lead.

After the game was over, the supporters showed their love to van de Ven, singing his name and celebrating the standout center-back for his impressive performance. During the post-game interview, van de Ven showed his mutual appreciation to the fans, sharing his thoughts on what it means to play for Spurs.

"Unbelievable feeling, to be honest. The whole stadium singing your name is like a dream that comes true. And I appreciate it a lot that fans are doing this for me. I love to play in front of the fans and I think Pedro also scored a really good goal today. It was good for us both to be important today," van de Ven said.

Micky also said that the team must build on this result. They know they can be a threat for a top-three finish this season, but consistency will be key to reach that goal.

Tottenham now sit at fourth in the Premier League table, hoping to drift away from Aston Villa and get closer to the front three positions. If they can keep up the pace, this team can finish the season on a good note.
