Tottenham Hotspur star Guglielmo Vicario has entered the transfer radar of Italian giants Inter Milan. They are even pondering a Tottenham transfer swap.

Tottenham Hotspur have had an underwhelming start to the season. While it's still early days, nobody will be happy with sitting tenth in the table, having won just five games.

Certainly, it would be reactionary to point fingers at the goalkeeper. But it's also concerning that only one clean sheet has been kept all season. This is despite Tottenham having a fair fixture run at the start of the season.

Nevertheless, Tottenham are happy with Guglielmo Vicario and so they should be. The Italian goalkeeper had a great first season and hopefully, he will kick on again this campaign.

Understandably, Guglielmo Vicario is attracting eyes from his home country. The current Italian champions, Inter Milan, would like to sign him.

According to Inter Live, Inter Milan are considering using Benjamin Pavard as part of a deal to bring Guglielmo Vicario back to his home country.

This is understandable, considering Inter Milan's current goalkeeper Yann Sommer is not getting any younger. Sommer is a veteran keeper who ages 35 years old, so Inter must think ahead for the future.

Needless to say, Vicario has experience of playing Italian football. Before joining Tottenham, he played for Empoli.

Big things were not expected of Vacario but he quickly defied all expectations of him, becoming one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League during his debut season.

The Italian outlet claims that this is a large reason why Inter Milan are fans of him. They understand it would be an exceptional deal but considering Tottenham's interest in Benjamin Pavard in the past, it is not beyond the realm of possibility.

Whether Tottenham would entertain the deal, though, remains to be seen.
